Who we are
DNMCast, operated by [Company legal name], is a cloud digital-signage service. Businesses use DNMCast to upload images and videos, build playlists and campaigns, and play them on TV screens through our player apps.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through our website (https://www.dnmcast.com), our customer panel (https://app.dnmcast.com), the DNMCast Player app for Android TV and our web player, and what we do with it.
When this policy says "you", it means you as a visitor to our website or as a customer or user of DNMCast. When it says "we" or "us", it means DNMCast.
What data we collect
Account data
When you sign up we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and your password. We store only a secure hash of your password, never the password itself.
If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us. We do not get your Google password.
Content you upload
We store the images and videos you upload, along with the playlists, campaigns and schedules you create in the panel.
Screen and device data
For each screen you connect we store the screen name you choose, pairing details, a device identifier generated by our app, the device's IP address, whether it is online or offline, and when it was last seen.
Play logs
We record which media played on which screen and when. This powers the Reports section of your panel so you can see proof of play.
Billing data
We keep records of your plan, payments and invoices, and for Indian customers your GST details if you provide them. Your card or bank details are handled directly by our payment partners. DNMCast never sees or stores your full card number.
Messages you send us
If you use our website contact form or email us, we keep your message and the contact details you give us so we can reply.
Server logs
Like most online services, our servers automatically log technical details such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request.
How we use your data
- To create and run your account and let you sign in.
- To store your media and deliver it to your screens.
- To show screen status, play reports and other features in your panel.
- To process payments, issue invoices (including GST invoices) and manage your subscription.
- To send you service messages, such as trial reminders, payment receipts, failed-payment notices and important changes.
- To answer your questions and give you support.
- To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising.
Why we are allowed to use it
We use your data because you have asked us to provide the service (our contract with you), because you have given your consent (for example, when you sign up or contact us), because the law requires it (for example, tax records), or because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working well. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, though this may mean we can no longer provide the service.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers who help us run DNMCast, and only as much as they need:
- Payment partners (such as Razorpay, Stripe or Paddle) to process your payments. Some partners may act as the reseller or merchant of record for international customers, and they handle your payment details under their own privacy policies.
- Google, if you choose Google sign-in, and when our pages load fonts from Google Fonts (see Cookies).
- Hosting and email providers who run our servers and send our service emails.
- Authorities, when the law requires us to, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
If DNMCast is ever sold or merged, your data may move to the new owner, who must keep protecting it under this policy.
Where your data is stored
Your account data and uploaded media are stored on our servers in India. Some of our service providers, such as payment partners, may process data in other countries. When that happens we rely on their safeguards to protect your data.
Our player apps also save a copy of your media on each screen device so it can keep playing if the internet drops. That copy stays on the device you control.
How long we keep it
- Active accounts: we keep your data for as long as your account is open.
- After your subscription ends or your account is closed: we keep your data for about 90 days so you can come back without losing anything. After that we may delete it.
- Billing records and invoices: we keep these for as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after your account is deleted.
- Server logs: kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and regular backups to protect your data. No online service can be completely secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Please keep your password private and let us know straight away if you think someone has accessed your account.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your data, unless we must keep it by law.
- Withdraw consent you have given us.
- Nominate someone to act for you if you are unable to.
These rights apply under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have GDPR-style rights: to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive your data in a portable format. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Much of your account data can be viewed and edited directly in the panel. For anything else, email [support email]. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Cookies
This section is our cookie policy. We keep cookies to a minimum and use only what is needed for the service to work.
- Login session cookie on https://app.dnmcast.com: keeps you signed in to the panel. Without it you could not log in.
- Local preferences: a small setting saved in your browser to remember that you have seen our cookie notice and which currency you prefer to see prices in.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or social-media tracking pixels.
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser downloads these fonts, Google may receive your IP address. You can read how Google handles this data in Google's own privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the login cookie, you will not be able to sign in to the panel.
Children
DNMCast is a service for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date at the top, and if the changes are important we will tell customers by email or in the panel.
See also our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
Grievance Officer
Under India's Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules made under it and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we have appointed a Grievance Officer to handle privacy concerns and complaints.
- Grievance Officer, [Company legal name]
- Email: [support email]">[support email]
